Open Coffee with Watie White

November 14, 2017 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
No More Empty Cups, 1502 South 10th Street #100, Omaha, NE

Open Coffees are a gathering for Change Makers across the spectrum and serve as an opportunity to meet with some of Omaha’s most impacting and influential people. Each week we invite a special guest to share their personal story in an open Q&A format, allowing attendees to ask key questions that might inspire new ideas and spring them into action! Think of it like getting a coffee meeting with someone really great but as a group!

Nov 14th join us for Open Coffee with Watie White, a public artist leaving his mark on Omaha through his unique works. His site-specific social practice has led to large-scale public art projects with area nonprofits: Habitat For Humanity-Omaha, InCOMMON Community Development, Justice For Our Neighbors-NE, Omaha Healthy Kids Alliance and Omaha Public Schools. He has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards including the Puffin Foundation, Nebraska Arts Council, Humanities Nebraska, and the Mid-America Arts Alliance.
